The Smart Room Sensor is a repeater device designed to integrate with the Motion & Light Sensor built into Samsung The Frame TVs to preserve the functionality of the TV's native features when a Deco TV Frame is added to the TV.  

The SRS-2 is a significant upgrade over the first generation of this device. It wirelessly connects to the One Connect box, eliminating the need to attach it to the frame and avoiding extra cords running down the wall. It can communicate with the TV to indicate when motion is detected in the room and how to adjust the TV's brightness according to the ambient light levels when in TV mode, all without the necessity of manually overriding the TV's features through the settings menus. 

NOTE: Unfortunately, the current version of our Smart Room Sensor - v2.0 (SRS-2) does not have the ability to adjust brightness levels while in Art Mode. We have brought this to Samsung's attention and are currently in discussions to have them unlock this feature in the TV's firmware. We are eager to utilize the hardware already included in the SRS-2 for this future update.

Feature Highlights: 

• Connects to the TV wirelessly via WiFi connection. 
• Motion Detector: When in Art Mode the SRS-2 senses motion in the room to wake the TV from standby when motion is detected.   
• Light Detector: When in art mode, the SRS-2 can sense light changes in the room to turn the artwork off when dark and bring the artwork back when the room brightens. 
• Smartphone application for controlling settings, updates, and TV connection. 

Note: With no risk of image burn and minimal power consumption in Art Mode, most customers prefer to keep the artwork displayed rather than using the SRS-2 to turn the screen black. However, for those who prefer automatic shut-off to a black screen, the SRS-2 is a great option.
